Repeat Offender

Apparently this has become my favorite shirt. Worn twice in one week...dont judge me!

Coming from a fun day out with the girl at Patterson Park's "Concert in the Park" series. This weeks performer was a reggae group Strykers Posse. It was a great way to get out of the house, the weather was perfect, and it was a truly enjoyable experience!

If you get a chance you should check out the rest of the concert series sponsored by the Friends of Patterson Park

Remixed Maxi

Headed out to meet  the girls at Baltimore's newest Comedy Club/ Poetry Lounge Kleosh. Quite a combination right? Well 20 something entrepreneur/poet Josh Austin and his comedian counterpart Kleon da Comedian have brought something new to Baltimore. Looking for something to do other than standard clubbing experience this is the place. Poetry night every Tuesday, various comedy shows and happy hours throughout the week, drink specials, and Hot Topic Mondays 1818 N Charles St. Owning a club is quite a feat for such young men but with the right amount of ambition anything is possible! Me and the gals attended a comedy night a couple Fridays ago and Kleon along with a couple other visiting comics showed us a good time.

Wearing my mom's favorite maxi (which is now MY favorite maxi) coupled with a pair of hot pants, I was ready to hit the town. I got the idea from friend and fellow blogger Charlotte. Follow her on Instagram for some inspiring looks @ Ceelizzylee_x3. I completed the look with some thrifted white oxfords that remind me of Pop's "tic tac shoes" from the show The Wayans Brothers. lol Im also wearing another of Wet n Wild's lip colors in "Don't Blink Pink" told y'all I was gonna get all the colors ;)

Playtime is Over

Finally found the perfect pair of vintage Levi's to make into cut-offs. Picked them up at my home away from home, Edgewood Thrift and took a razor to those bad boys! Wore these for the first time on a day out with my god children. We ended up at a playground at Chinquapin Park where I used to play myself. Hadn't been there in 15 years but it made me feel like a kid again.

Everything Thrifted from head to toe.

Scarfing it Down

A quick fix for any stale hairdo. You know what u mean by stale, right? A hairdo that has run its course, but for some reason you just can't let it go yet. Just add a scarf and make it all over! All my scarves are thrifted, whih makes it even better.

Coralista

Some time after the name change from Mansion to Mirage it got really hood up in there O_O ...I dont know what happened but anyway, I was on the way out here to celebrate another friend's birthday. Despite the ratchetry, I danced all night and was hot as crap in my leather skirt...aduh. This isnt new to me though, I never leave the house without at least 2 layers, so sue me...

Purple Rain

On the way to see "Think Like A Man" which was actually a good movie. It was nothing like I expected, which was a Tyler Perry-esque male bashing movie. It turned out to be nothing of the sort, it was actually funny and entertaining and I didnt feel embarrassed to watch it. Score 1 for Steve Harvey! I wore my bubblegum pink Doc Martens that Ive been lusting over for a while now, since the weather was dreary and I wanted to brighten things up a bit. Still rocking my bday curls from 3 weeks ago. I feel like this is the longest Ive gone without washing my hair in ages, but some curly-ques are still holding on! My scalp is screaming for a cleansing but Ive been too lazy. Hopefully Ill get it done before  the weekend.

My, My, My, Midis

My friend and I unintentionally dressed alike for our thrifting trip to the Goodwill on Reisterstown Rd in Owings Mills, MD. I think tank tops and colorful bottoms are my spring/summer uniform for 2012. Also still very into loafers and oxfords. I call these my "honey mustards" haha... By the way my flexi rod set from last weekend is still truckin!!!

Maxin and Relaxin

In Philadelphia for the weekend. Something about these maxi dresses from the 90s that I love. They have the perfect amount of frumpiness. Still not too much frump to push them over the uncool edge for me. Everything Thrifted including my oxfords.

And When She's Done Being Young, She'll Dress Like You

This line from Andre 300 sums me up perfectly. I've been into vintage fashions for a couple of years now ever since I met my blogging partner Krista. I was so inspired by her penchant to ramble through her mom's closet to find unique pieces, that I embarked upon my own journey into the thrift/vintage world.

My mom didn't keep too many things from her old wardrobe but there's still some gems left like this polka dot maxi dress that I pilfered from her.

It's Dark and Hell is Hot

My new favorite color combination. I don't know what it is about pink and red together that makes me think of flights of fancy... This is before I almost died in the nightclub. In NYC for the weekend, we decided to hit a spot ironically named "Hell's Kitchen" It was so hot in there that I overheated and passed out seconds before leaving the dancefloor. Note to self: NEVER wear a chiffon shirt to the club again!!!

Penny Loafin

Currently loving any variation of the penny loafer. On the way to see a burlesque show at the Red Palace  in DC. The show was pretty cool. My favorite act was The Sweater Set  a cutsie ukulele/accordian/flute  playing duo who sang quirky songs reminiscent of Phoebe on "Friends" or Zoe Deschanel in "Yes Man." The only setback was that the venue was standing only which didn't fare too well for my cohorts and I in our 5 inch heels...

Gordon Gartrell

My ode to Theo Huxtable, in this two tone silk shirt that I thrifted. Maybe the homemade Gordon Gartrell that Theo wore on that episode of the Cosby's had a different color scheme than my blouse. It was purple and gold if I recall correctly.  Either way I think of Theo and Denise when I put it on. I was on my way to my cousin's 26 bday celebration at Select when I got into a fender bender at the 95S tunnel and never made it there. To all who read this blog, you will see me in this outfit again soon. Especially since I never made it to the club.

I promise, I wasn't giving you guys the "finger"

A close-up of my killer shoes. And by killer, I mean these joints KILL my pinky toe lawdamercy...
