It's Dark and Hell is Hot

My new favorite color combination. I don't know what it is about pink and red together that makes me think of flights of fancy... This is before I almost died in the nightclub. In NYC for the weekend, we decided to hit a spot ironically named "Hell's Kitchen" It was so hot in there that I overheated and passed out seconds before leaving the dancefloor. Note to self: NEVER wear a chiffon shirt to the club again!!!

Currently going mad for plaid! I went thrifting yesterday and went hog wild on plaid shirts (among other things)... 

Also wearing one of my favorite hats, I love the ball on top. I'm covering up my bantu knots, which are still wet from last night. Ugh... my hair takes forever to dry. Gonna sit under the dryer for maybe another hour, before the company Christmas party tonight hopefully to unveil a head full of curls :)

Re-Vamped

At my cousin's wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. There were alligators in the marsh behind our hotel! Scary stuff. I've had this dress for about 5 years, I wore it to a banquet in 2006. I just went into my closet and cooked up a new take on it. I think the outfit may be a bit matchy-matchy but still a nice idea for a wedding. Sorry for the closed eyes in the first pic, the SC sun was kind of intense.
